From Me to You

Changing Behaviour

Have You Ever "Woke Up Screaming in the Night"? or The Secret Power of Hypnosis

You may have heard that the subconscious mind does not know the difference between real and imagined phenomena. That’s why we get scared and sometimes have visceral reactions to horror films, cry at sad films, etc. Our conscious mind knows that we are just watching a film that is not real but our subconscious mind does not. We understand that and still we react, so how do such phenomena affect children and babies? At certain ages the difference between real and imagined is blurred, perhaps nonexistent.

Past Life Curious?

Are you curious about past life regression? One of my clients asked me about my experience doing past life regressions and how the sessions go etc. I thought maybe some of you would like to know too so I am sharing my response with you. In a nutshell:

I have been doing them since my certification in 2009. I usually begin with a full induction including deepening techniques and then use a series of techniques--usually taking the person back from their current age or directly to the place where memories are stored and then ask them to go to a significant event that will shed light and healing on a particular issue that we are working on; this can take them to an event in any life.

Charles Fillmore Knew

How does Transpersonnal Hypnotherapy work?  Charles Fillmore knew:

"The superconscious mind lifts up, or regenerates, both the subconscious and the conscious,.." "The subconscious exists for the benefit of the conscious mind, but unless regenerated it thwarts the efforts of the conscious at every step, so that 'ye may not do the things that ye would'." Charles Fillmore, Keep a True Lent

This is one way to look at Transpersonnal Hypnotherapy, which joins body, mind and spirit to effect positive change.

Effectiveness of Hypnosis

There are over 200 known uses for hypnosis.

A survey of psychotherapy literature by Alfred A. Barrios, Ph.D. revealed the following recovery rates:
  • Pschoanalysis: 38% recovery after 600 sessions
  • Behaviour Therapy: 72% recovery after 22 sessions
  • Hypnotherapy: 93% recovery after 6 sessions
  • Source: American Health Magazine

How Does Hypnotherapy Work?

Whatever you do in life can be enhanced by hypnosis.  If people knew the awesome power of their subconscious mind, its ability to effect positive change without any conscious effort on their part, they would truly be amazed.
Every problem has a cause, when you eliminate the cause from the computer we call the subconscious mind, the problem disappears.
Phobias, such as fear of water, flying, dentistry, and enclosed space are frequently corrected in two or three sessions.  We simply locate the cause, change the person's perception of the events and the fear usually disappears.

Veterans Day

I wish to thank all of the Veterans and their family and those currently serving our great country! There are some countries in which their citizens are not even allowed to practice Hypnosis.  Can you even imagine that?  Happily I can practice it and witness the virtually immediate positive effects of it.

I just received word that I got an A on the certification test on Trance and Trauma and will soon receive my official Certificate for assisting clients who have suffered from trauma.
