Are you curious about past life regression? One of my clients asked me about my experience doing past life regressions and how the sessions go etc. I thought maybe some of you would like to know too so I am sharing my response with you. In a nutshell:
I have been doing them since my certification in 2009. I usually begin with a full induction including deepening techniques and then use a series of techniques--usually taking the person back from their current age or directly to the place where memories are stored and then ask them to go to a significant event that will shed light and healing on a particular issue that we are working on; this can take them to an event in any life.If we are just wanting to explore a past life experience then after the induction and deepening techniques, I would simply ask them to go to a significant past life and then we would explore significant events in that life. For Spiritual clients, I ask them to ask their Guide or Higher Self (or God, depends on the client's preference) what important lessons would be helpful for them to learn from the event.
The client decides how much time they want to spend in each event. Sometimes it is unpleasant and they just want to get close enough to see it; sometimes they re-perceive it quite closely, almost reliving it. Always they know it is a memory which may or may not be what happened; it is just something that is stored in their subconscious. I help them to step back if it is too troubling--always asking if they are ready. I remove any negative residues and fill the space with healing light and then either go to another event or bring them out of it depending on how long we spent. If a person has difficulty communicating, I would bring them out of it and set up finger signals so they can indicate yes, no, don't know, or what ever they would like to say; and then take them back. Then I would have to ask a lot more questions. Never had to do that yet.
I have also combined art as a means of expressing what the client is perceiving during the regression of present life experiences. We could do that in a past life regression also. It is a very powerful modality!
Each one is different and they can be very powerful. Sometimes what sounds like a fairly unimportant event to me can have great meaning for them and they will shed tears and be quite moved by it. I take notes and then debrief the client afterwards.
It takes about 1 1/2 to 2 hours. Seems like a lot? Most people forget about time and do not really know how much time has gone by when under hypnosis. So, the client tells me ahead of time how long they would like to spend in session. i like to be able to let them spend as much time as they need to so it is good to allow the 2 hours. If we have to end at a critical time in a certain past life, maybe we can go back to it again later. I have revisited the same life with some clients. So ultimately, it is up to the client and my schedule.
When would you like your session?
